Butterfly - Single

Song notes

Written and recorded at home over a few days in November 2025, my new single ‘Butterfly’ represents a shift in my musical vocabulary. Favouring a smaller arrangement, a hypnotic 5/4 chord riff, embellished with strings that extend its harmonic texture, this is more of a tone poem than a song to my mind.

Butterfly will be streaming everywhere from Friday, 16th January 2026. However, I have decided to make it available early here as a high-quality digital download, because I think it’s nice to own your own media and consume it at the full bitrate without streaming compression.
