Frog King

Written and recorded in April 2024, Frog King is an experimental, psychedelic rock song, exploring themes of alienation through the eyes of a lonely frog called Hector. Featuring a stripped back arrangement (in contrast to the layered arrangements of some of my earlier releases), I used shifting metres, borrowed chords and key shifts in A and Bb mixolydian to create a sense of anxious uncertainty.
The song was recorded at my home studio using a simple arrangement of guitar, bass, percussion, keyboards and vocals.
