Get To Nowhere

Who knew I could write and record an experimental folk rock song about healing past trauma and resdicovering self confidence in under 48 hours? Get To Nowhere is an uptempo, high energy song with a sparse arrangement. Featuring ukulele, piano, percussion and solo lead vocal.

I set myself a time limit when writing and recording this song as a means to overcome creative decision paralysis and go with my gut instinct.

GET TO NOWHERE - LYRICS

Yesterday with tears in my eyes
Holy hell my brain was on fire

Oh get out of my mind
And gimme back my time

Get to nowhere
Get to nowhere, baby
Bad dream

Now today I laugh with a smile
Moly holy, I’m still alive

And now I’m feelin’ fine
The elevation’s mine

Get to nowhere
Get to nowhere, baby
Heartache

I could never really figure why
Misery still lingers in my mind
Bad dream

Yesterday with tears in my eyes
Holy hell my brain was on fire

Oh get out of my mind
And gimme back my time

Get to nowhere
Get to nowhere, baby
Bad dream

Get to nowhere
Get to nowhere, baby
Bad dream

Get to nowhere
Get to nowhere, baby
Bad dream
